Our trust’s first success story happened in Alagammai Achi School. This more than 100 years school is a government-aided institution that teaches students from 1st to 5th standard. Some years ago, there were 250 students enrolled in the school, but the number has now decreased to 63 as on April 2024.  The decline in student enrollment is due to the heavy competition from English medium schools, as many parents prefer to enroll their children in these schools rather than in Tamil medium schools. This trend has contributed to the closure of several Tamil medium schools in Tamil Nadu.

During the vocational holidays, we renovated the building, landscaped the grounds suitable for children’s play, provided Desks attached Chairs and benches(Previously children were sitting in the floors) and employed additional teachers to teach English and Computer knowledge to the kids and also to take care of kids’s  extracurricular activities after school hours. All these efforts has increased the student’s strength from 63 to 84 i.e., an increase of 33.33% in a short span of within 2 months is really a very good achievement.
